Motorcycle Recovery in Stoke-on-Trent
Not every recovery operator has the right equipment to handle a motorcycle properly. We do — wheel chocks, soft-loop tie-downs, and a flatbed bed that keeps your bike fully secure throughout the journey. No scratches, no damage.
Why motorcycles need specialist recovery
Motorcycles can’t be recovered like cars — the loading method, securing points, and equipment are completely different.
- Bikes must be loaded upright on a flatbed — they can’t be towed
- Wheel chocks are required to hold the front wheel securely during loading and transport
- Soft-loop tie-downs attach to the frame — not fairings, handlebars, or bodywork
- Incorrect securing causes fairing cracks, handlebar damage, and frame stress
- We carry the equipment to load bikes of all sizes — from 125cc commuters to large touring machines
What’s Happened to Your Bike?
Motorcycle breakdowns come in many forms — here’s how we handle the most common situations we’re called out for.
| Situation | Can we help? | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Mechanical breakdown — won’t start or run | Yes | Flatbed recovery to your chosen garage or dealer — loaded upright, properly secured throughout |
| Puncture — tyre flat, unrideable | Yes | Recovered to a tyre centre or your garage — we won’t try to ride it or pump up a damaged tyre |
| Accident — bike damaged but rideable | Yes | We always recommend recovering a bike after an accident — damage isn’t always visible, and riding on compromised components is a risk |
| Accident — bike not rideable | Yes | Flatbed recovery with careful loading — even if the bike has body damage, we handle it without causing further damage to fairings or frame |
| Electrical fault — complete power loss | Yes | Recovered to a dealer or specialist for diagnosis — we don’t attempt roadside electrical repairs on bikes |
| Bike dropped in a car park or at low speed | Yes | We can recover a dropped bike safely — if it’s driveable but you’d rather not ride it, we’ll transport it for you |
| Classic or valuable bike — needs careful handling | Yes | Extra care throughout — soft loops only, wheel chocked, and secured without contact to the paintwork or chrome |
Describe your bike and situation when you call — we’ll confirm what we need to bring and give you an ETA.

Motorcycle Recovery — Common Questions
Quick answers before you call.
How is the motorcycle secured on the truck?
Your bike is loaded upright onto a flatbed and held in a wheel chock at the front. Soft-loop tie-down straps are then attached to the frame at structural anchor points — not to handlebars, fairings, mirrors, or any cosmetic parts. This prevents any movement during transit and avoids damage to the bodywork.
Can you recover a bike that’s been in an accident and has bodywork damage?
Yes — and we’d always recommend recovering a bike after an accident, even if it appears rideable. Damage isn’t always visible, and riding on potentially compromised steering, forks, or frame after a collision is a serious risk. We handle accident-damaged bikes with extra care to avoid worsening any existing damage during loading.
What types of motorcycle do you recover?
All types — sports bikes, naked bikes, adventure tourers, cruisers, classic and vintage motorcycles, scooters, and mopeds. If you have a particularly large or heavy bike, let us know the make and model when you call so we can confirm the right setup.
Can you recover a bike that has gone down (dropped)?
Yes. If the bike is lying on its side, we’ll stand it up and load it properly — we won’t transport a motorcycle on its side. Let us know it’s down when you call so we’re prepared.
Will you try to start or fix my bike at the roadside?
No — we’re a recovery service, not a mobile mechanic. We’ll get your bike safely to your chosen garage or dealer where it can be properly diagnosed and repaired.
Can you recover my bike to a dealer far from Stoke?
Yes — we offer long distance motorcycle transportation across the UK. Call us with the pickup and delivery details and we’ll give you a fixed price for the journey.
Are you available 24 hours a day for motorcycle recovery?
Yes — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Call or WhatsApp 07455 054500 any time.
